Avenue E House - New Window

Building Inspector was over a while back
and informed us all bedrooms have to have
egress windows.  So we traded in the ones
we had bought for bigger windows.

We did get them on sale at Menards.

Geocaching/Fishing April 21, 2012

After cutting and hauling brush all morning
and helping Jake with the Dining Hall sound system
We decided to take the rest of the evening off.

Finally figured out the puzzle and went
and found the cache.

Found another geocache at this camping area west of Kearney

Jake's happy face!

Jake found this cache along a creek bank

Mary stayed up on top

After geocaching we went fishin!
Jake caught the first fish.

Replacing the cache on the gate to L.E. Ray lake

Wind turbine north of Lincoln
We needed a picture for another world challenge

Entrance to Holy Family Shrine along the Interstate

We each needed a picture with us in it to complete
a virtual geocache

Jake was impressed with the running water you can see
in those slots in the stone floor

A new type of geocache.
This little thing is supposed to give you coordinates
but we couldn't figure out how to do it

Geocaching Harry Strunk Lake - 4/10/12

Jake had to go to Cambridge for a service call for his job
so I tagged along.  And we found a few geocaches.
"First to Find" just east of Cambridge

Geocache named "J.S." just west of Cambridge along the road

A cache hidden in this stump I couldn't get out
until I pulled the plug up.
See below with plug in.

Geocache was in front of the plow

Nice walk bridge in Cambridge.  We couldn't find this one.

Found a lot of old ammo cans today

"The Tubes" south of Harry Strunk Lake
The geocache in the woods near here was far
enough off the coordinates it took us a while to find

Another ammo can cache just south of the Medicine Creek
Dam at Harry Strunk Lake

Jake below the dam

Jerry across from the top of the dam

Another cache along the lake

Small cemetery plot west of the lake
Jake found the cache

The geocache name is "Diptheria"

Cache at bridge over creek that runs into the lake

Found this farm east of the lake
When you find a cache you get a "Smiley"
on your geocaching map

We saw lots of pheasants and turkeys

This marker was for a cowboy that died in a gun fight
in 1879.  The geocache was in the cedar tree.

Another cemetery caceh

Just a few trips into the woods for geocaches.
Jake found the most ticks today.
