April 23, 2011 - Geocaching

Large unique geocache container at Toot & Toot Toot's place.

We met Toot and his wife Toot Toot at a geocacher's
breakfast in Grand Island a few weeks ago.  Here he is
on his geocaching tricycle at their home South of Juniata.

The log sheet is in one of these film containers.  Fun cache.

Interesting cache container.  See picture below for how
it looks when in place.

Lucky we had a trusty TOTT (tool of the trade) to retrieve
this geocache container.

Jerry looked at this log first but didn't see the cache inside.

Another geocache just off Highway 6.

A bed and breakfast out in the country north of Minden.

The geocache is in the tractor behind the restaurant.

Jake came prepared with irrigation boots

Our favorite find of the day.  The geocache container is
glued to the bottom of a flattened mountain dew can that
just looks like all the other trash along this road in Minden.

The other museum in Minden.

Cache at the East welcome sign to Minden.

Easy find in the Chautauqua Park in Minden

We just happened upon a Prom photo session at the
Minden Opera House.  Mary thought the car on the right
looked like the Chevelle I had before we got married.

Jake found the geocache under the bench in front of the
Kearney County courthouse in Minden while Mary was
watching the prom photo session.

Another favorite of the day.  Jerry found a fake sprinkler head
geocache container at the South Welcome to Minden sign.

Another cemetery geocache find in the dark.

The last find of the day in the dark on a gravel road.

to the bottom of a rock laying under a cedar tree.

Jake found this cache next to some noisy sandhill cranes

Another geocache container glued to the bottom of a rock

There is a geocache under this observation deck that
we couldn't find.
